This is a popular 4 star lodge/hotel situated on the banks of the Zambezi. It is set in pretty unspoiled surroundings where you can see they have tried to minimise the cutting down of trees when constructing the lodge (see the car park layout as an example). The food is good and the rooms are comfortable. The Avani is probably the closest rival in terms of pricing and, food aside, may offer a slightly better setting if you want close proximity the The Falls. But if it is river views and high quality food that are important to you, then this is probably the better choice. The Falls are only 10 minutes away by shuttle.
The David Livingstone Safari Lodge offers standard rooms and suites. There is also an on-site spa and wellness centre and they also operate a private river-cruise boat – The Lady Livingstone. All rooms have a private bathroom and walk-in mosquito nets, and the suites contain a jacuzzi and lounge area. All rooms come with DSTV and flat screen TV’s. There is also an outdoor infinity pool overlooking the river, a fully stocked bar and two restaurants.
