For anyone wishing to experience Chobe without staying overnight in Botswana, this Chobe Full Day Trip may be just what you are looking for. Enjoy a full day in the famous Chobe National Park by experiencing the best of both worlds, exploring the park on both land and water.
You will be picked up in Livingstone early in the morning and driven to the border where you can cross the Kazungula Bridge opened in 2021, which is quite a feat of engineering, into Botswana.
The safari starts with a boat cruise on the Chobe River affording you the opportunity to see a host of birdlife, crocodiles, hippos, elephants and large herbivores along the river’s edge. Lunch is provided at the Coffee Buzz restaurant.
You will then set off on an afternoon game drive back through the park in a specially adapted open 4×4 game driver vehicle. Drives are typically along the waterfront where game congregates the most. Common sightings are elephant, buffalo and lion, with eland, sable and roan antelope also common at certain times of the year. Leopards are more elusive, but you may be lucky!
The boat cruise lasts around 3 hours, as does the game drive. Once you game drive is over you will be taken back to the border and driven back to Livingstone in time for dinner.
