Zambezi River Cruises – Lady Livingstone

Visiting the Victoria Falls is a once-in-a-lifetime trip for most visitors and you would be doing yourself an injustice if you didn’t experience a cruise on The Zambezi at some point during your stay. Cruises take place on the calm, upper river up-stream from the Victoria Falls. The spray of the Falls is always a backdrop to every cruise, especially during high water. There are opportunities to see wildlife such as hippo, crocodile, elephant, buffalo, zebra, giraffe and various antelope and bird life, including the wonderful fish eagle. Fortunately there are several cruise operators in Livingstone to suit all budgets.

The Lady Livingstone is a luxury triple deck catamaran. The Lady affords fantastic views of the Zambezi River and is inclusive of drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) and snacks/meals. The front deck of the Lady is a great place to chill out and relax as the world glides by. The upper deck comes with couches and lounge chair for extra style and comfort. Often the cruise will stop when there is a good sighting of wildlife nearby making for a great photo opportunity.

The most popular cruises are the late afternoon/evening cruises for sunset. However, you can also book a morning or lunch time cruise too. The Lady Livingstone is priced at the higher end of the scale when it comes to cruises, and what you get for your money is a sense of luxury and style accompanied by a more sedate and relaxing experience.
